GREATER STRUGIS

"Sturgis." For motorcyclists – Harley® riders in particular – the name of this small town in South Dakota carries significant connotation. Because it doesn't usually refer simply to the town itself – it calls to mind perhaps the most famous of all annual motorcycle events, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which turns 64 this year. Thus, saying you've "been to Sturgis" means so much more than having passed through it once on your way to somewhere else – especially if it was in your car.
